Come and dive deep into silence and community with the Zen Open Circle.
On three Friday’s per month we gather at the Sydney Zen Centre to practice sitting meditation (zazen), walking meditation (kinhin), and to enjoy being in the company of others who are walking the Way of Zen (our sangha!). Afterwards there is also the possibility of continuing the nourishment with a shared meal nearby. All are welcome!
This practice will provide you with the opportunity to settle deep into shared silence in the beautiful space of the Sydney Zen Centre.
Previous experience in this tradition is not required. We can provide an orientation for anyone who is new or returning to practice. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like an orientation or have any questions.

This is a free event. Dana (a donation) is welcome if you would like to contribute towards the costs for the event.
Q: Do I need to have previous experience in Zen?
A: Nope. If anything, that will probably be helpful!
Q: Do I need to be able to sit on the floor?
A: No, simple chairs can be provided. We prefer that you can be comfortable in your sitting.
Q: How long does a round of zazen (sitting meditation) last?
A: We sit for 25mins. This is followed by walking practice (about 5mins).
